Attractive Things Work Better
Don Norman talks about a collection of tea pots he owns. One is a beautiful tea pot but it is rather difficult to use because the handle is on the same side as the spout. Another one he says is so ugly that it has it's own appeal. And the last teapot had it's own unique quality. He said that he used all the pots equally but it depended on wether he was in a hurry or not. This example explain how all things no matter how attractive or easy to use they are can still have a purpose.
Joshua Porter talked about Myspace. He talked about how popular the site is even though the overall design isn't to good. He goes on saying that it's more likely that the users have bad taste and that's why it looks the way it does. But he then says that the main attraction to myspace is the ability to customize your main page how ever you want.
They both bring up a good point that even if a site isn't very visualy pleasing it can still be a success. In my opinion a site that has bad links and hard to read text is doomed to fail. Take care of that then you can work on the beauty of it.
OS X Leopard
The new upgrade for the OS X is called Leopard and there are some good improvements. The desktop is now more tidy thanks to the dock organizer. It neatly stacks the files in he dock and can be brought up in a fan or graph mode. There is something called quick look that enables you to look into documents without having to actually open the program. Also there is a backup program that can go back to a certin day on your computer and recover files you had. This new upgrade only further proves that Macs try to make computer usage as easy as possible. With each new upgrade Macs get better but in some of the pc upgrades they get worse.

Thesis Statement
I would like to do a thesis about how video games have evolved over time and how they are used and affecting people today.

Steve Krug Questions
Question 1 Which of the three "Facts of Life" cited by Krug best describes the way that you use the Web? Explain how your personal experiences supports his assertion.
I believe the first "Fact of Life" that says that people don't read pages but scans them is true. I have seen myself do this when I look up video game stuff. I go directly for what I'm looking for instead of looking at the entire webpage.
Queston 2 Based on Krug and Nielsen, what are three things that you can do as a web designer to "design great billboards?"
I would try to send the message with crisp pictures and not much text. I believe people react more to a picture than a lot of words.

Interface design is when a person can interact with a computer or program in some way.
